Grupo Codorniu Bodega Septima Dia Malbec 2011

Grupo Codorniu Bodega Septima Dia Malbec 2011 from Mendoza, a region situated at a very high altitude above sea level therefore producing very low yields and very natural wines. In the true style of Malbec, it has soft supple tannins with great concentration, minerality and high expression. The 2011 is another very good vintage even though vintages in Mendoza do no vary that much because of its topography. Excellent with grilled steaks, sausages and also pastas. Drink now or cellar for 5-6 years.

• Color: Bright deep red with purple hues.
• Nose: Sweet dark fruit jam with hints of berries and fresh plums and diaries such as strawberry yogurt. Aroma of vanilla and black chocolate perfectly balanced with the fruity aromas typical of the varietals.
• Palate: Sweet, warm, superb impact with generous tannins that, coupled with the oak aging flavors, offer balance and persistence on the palate.
