Product Details
Miguel Torres Cordillera Carignan 2009 have saturated ruby. Sexy, oak-spiced aromas of candied dark berries, cola, smoked meat and violet. Plush blueberry, vanilla and floral pastille flavors show good depth and energy, with a jolt of tangy acidity adding lift. At once rich and vibrant, finishing with strong punch and gentle tannic grip. There's a good dose of oak here but there also seems to be sufficient fruit to back it up.
Tasting Note
- Color: Intensely pigmented colour of ruby.
- Nose: Floral and fruity aroma on a background of toasted notes from the cask.
- Palate: On the palate it's expansive and develops beautifully. The notes in its aroma are now complemented by hints of bay and mint.
